I have setup my sharable plugin here www.hcgdietcommunity.com/infographics/the-top-9-diets-compared but i could get the twitter counter work, it always stays on 0 even though the tweets went through.

Any help is much appreciated!

Your URL being sent to Twitter and the other badge websites has the "infographics" subdirectory capitalized, "Infographics". It looks like Twitter is the only one that differentiates URLs between uppercase and lowercase letters.

What SEF URL component are you using? It looks like it has a bug when generating the URL with JRoute(). I am using sh404SEF version 2.2.6.973 and I do not have this problem.

I'm having this problem and I don't use any SEF tools on this site... sometimes I notice that the counter will actually show a number of tweets one moment and then change to zero at another time.

It tells me there was 1 tweet. The Twitter counts are cached, so they don't always show up right away.

OK... Thanks I thought the counter would change immediately. Does disabling cache affect the plugin and it's outcome?

No it's cached on Twitter's servers

Eh, it shouldn't matter much. The older versions of the component seem to do just fine, the newer versions are just bringing in more features that should be completely separate components (like Google Analytics). All it needs to do is generate SEF URLs. I'm using Joomla 1.7 for all my new websites, so I'm not even worrying about sh404SEF anymore.

I just checked the site in question (the guy who posted the question) and the twitter count is still 0 after more than a year. Other social counters are high, one in the 1000s. It is also zero for me. I don't believe it's a caching problem. I was at one point using another social plugin, which updated very quickly.
