I think you are saying that you don't want to show the buttons on the homepage or blog view listings, is that correct? Just set Homepage Display to None.

If you are saying that you have certain sections that you don't want them displayed on, then you can specify category ids to exclude.

I'm having the same problem. I've excluded a category, but the plugin is still appearing in a category list layout menu item.

Any ideas?

See cms.youthsportsny.org and click on the Training Partners link.

Thanks,

I'm having the same problem, the plugin is showing up on Section Pages.
As swese44 noted above, that is not the issue at hand here.

I'll try to explain:
It's not that we want to exclude any section, it's that we have a page that shows all categories in a section.
It is this page ("The Section Page") that we do not want the plugin to show.
Example: www.idoxlr8.com/news.html
I will leave this for a few days so that all may see and possibly resolve this matter.
If not I will have to uninstall this plugin because on a page where there are 12 categories shown
this plugin misbehaves very badly, and causes the page to load really slow.

I have partially solved this problem.
It seems that this plugin insists on attaching itself to descriptions of sections and categories.
I edited the menu item and turned off "Category Description"...
That solved the multiple instances of this plugin showing up.

I still have one instance on the page, at the top for the section description.

This issue needs to be addressed, It would be nice to have a page that shows all the categories
within a section, and be able to display some sort of description with out asking users if they want
to share my description with the world...

Otherwise great work... Thanks, I hope this helps

I think the plugin needs to check the component's view or task. If the current page view is the list view then the buttons shouldn't be shown. I don't have time to work on this now, so if somebody does please share the code.

Hi all,

Like you, I also had a wish to be able to exclude the icons from section & category lists as well.
It turned out, not to be particular hard to add the code for that, so if any of you still need this, here's how I did it in my install:

For some reason I can not post my description, so I've created a zip with the changed files and a description of what the changes are, in case you have allready created your own changes to the code.

Hope this can help others than me

Cheers,
Zorroson

Hi Zorroson.

This is brilliant! Just what I needed. I hope this feature will be added to the Ultimate Social Bookmarking Plugin in the next release. Thanks for sharing.
